The long-standing business tradition of the PPK Karlovac meat industry dates back to the very beginnings of the development of meat processing in the Karlovac region, at the end of the 19th century. The formal foundation dates back to 1963, and the company experienced significant development and positioning within the sector after entering the Pivac Group in 2003.

The focus of the product range is fresh meat packed using the MAP method (in English Modified Atmosphere Packaging), which is used in order to preserve freshness and quality.

In addition to fresh meat, the assortment consists of cured meat products and processed meats. The facility for the production of pork crackling is state-of-the-art and is one of the few largest such facilities in the whole of the EU.
